The cornerstone of the IKH chain is the over 50-year-old importing company Isojoen Konehalli Oy, which has extensive experience in the field of technical trade. The company imports a product range of almost 60 000 items from 30 different countries, including tools, technical machines and equipment, spare parts and accessories for tractors and machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic products, protective equipment, workwear, fasteners, chemicals, batteries, agricultural tires and trailers along with their accessories. The office and logistics centre are located in Kauhajoki, South Ostrobothnia.
Sales to the Finnish market are mainly made through the IKH dealer network, which covers the whole of Finland with the strength of almost 120 entrepreneur-driven stores and 10 own IKH superstores. The stores serve a wide range of customers from enthusiasts to professionals. Growing export trade is carried out in Estonia, Sweden, and other Nordic countries.
The roots of our operations date back to 1956 when Antti and Raili Alakortes started dismantling and selling tractors in Isojoki. Isojoen Konehalli Oy was founded in 1968 and was owned by the Alakortes family for more than 50 years. The company was successfully piloted for decades by Ilkka Alakortes until the company's ownership was transferred through an acquisition made in July 2021 to the Irish technical wholesaler and retailer Grafton Group plc.
